For The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, Curio Collection by Hilton, we are looking for an experienced, energetic and inspiring Resort Manager / General Manager who is ready to take the next step in their international hospitality career.

As part of Curio Collection by Hilton, The Rif combines its own distinctive Caribbean character and Corendon DNA with the international standards and recognition associated with Hilton.

In this role, you are the face and driving force behind the resort. You bring people together, safeguard quality, focus on results and make sure our guests experience that special Corendon feeling every single day.

You are visible. To our guests, to our colleagues and to the management team.

Because we are not looking for a General Manager who leads only from behind a desk.

You walk through the resort, talk to guests, know your teams and understand exactly what is happening within the operation.

Together with your management team, you make sure every part of the resort works seamlessly together. From Front Office and Housekeeping to Food & Beverage, Engineering, Finance, HR and Guest Relations.

You create an environment where people enjoy coming to work, take ownership and feel motivated to go that extra mile.

At the same time, you never lose sight of the business. You focus on quality, guest satisfaction, revenue, costs, efficiency and sustainable growth.

What does the job include?

As Resort Manager / General Manager, you are responsible for both the daily operation and the further development of the resort.

You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.

One day, you may be reviewing financial results and forecasts with your management team. The next, you are out on the floor speaking with guests and experiencing the operation first-hand.

Do you see an opportunity to improve the guest experience, efficiency or collaboration between departments? You do not wait for someone else to take action. You make it happen.

You provide direction, set clear expectations and give your management team both the trust and responsibility they need to perform at their best.

What will you be doing?

• Leading the daily operation and strategic development of the resort;

• Acting as an ambassador for The Rif, Curio Collection by Hilton and Corendon Hotels & Resorts;

• Ensuring the resort consistently delivers in line with Hilton and Curio Collection    brand standards, while maintaining the unique identity and Corendon DNA of The Rif;

• Leading, developing and inspiring the management team;

• Being highly visible throughout the resort and maintaining active contact with guests and colleagues;

• Ensuring strong collaboration between Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Relations, Engineering, Finance and HR;

• Monitoring and continuously improving quality, service and the overall guest experience;

• Managing revenue, costs, budgets, forecasts and overall operational performance;

• Analysing results and translating them into clear and practical actions;

• Creating the right balance between guest satisfaction, employee engagement and commercial performance;

• Building a positive, professional and energetic working culture where colleagues have the opportunity to grow;

   Identifying talent and supporting the development and internal progression of employees;

• Ensuring a safe, professional and well-organised resort operation;

• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, quality standards and applicable local legislation;

• Identifying opportunities to further improve service, efficiency and commercial results;

• Acting as an ambassador for the resort, Corendon and our unique culture;

For this position, we are not simply looking for someone who knows how to manage a hotel.

We are looking for a leader with personality.

Someone who knows how to inspire people, make decisions and take ownership, while remaining approachable and connected to both guests and colleagues.

You bring solid management experience within the hospitality industry, preferably gained within a large-scale resort, international hotel or high-volume hospitality environment.

In addition:

• You have experience within an international branded hotel or resort environment;

• Previous experience with Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton or another leading international hotel brand is a strong advantage;

• You understand how to combine international brand standards with the individual character and identity of a resort;

• You know how to translate high service standards into an exceptional and authentic Caribbean guest experience.

• You have several years of relevant leadership experience at senior management level;

• You have a strong operational and commercial mindset;

• You understand hotel and resort KPIs and know how to translate numbers into action;

• You have experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost control;

• You are a true people manager who enjoys coaching, developing and inspiring teams;

• You remain calm, confident and decisive when the operation requires it;

• You communicate naturally with employees, guests and stakeholders at all levels;

• You have excellent command of English

• You are comfortable working within an international and multicultural environment;

• You are prepared and excited to live and work in Curaçao.
