We are looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to join Corendon Amsterdam New-West and our vibrant Mondi Caribbean Restaurant.

As Kitchen Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. You work side-by-side with your team during service, ensuring the highest quality standards while maintaining an organized, efficient, and motivating work environment. You play a key role in developing the team, managing stock and purchasing, controlling food costs, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

What will you do?

✔️ Actively participate in food preparation and service operations

✔️ Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the kitchen team

✔️ Ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations

✔️ Create staff schedules and manage workforce planning

✔️ Order ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment

✔️ Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory controls

✔️ Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety standards

✔️ Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation

✔️ Support menu development and introduce new culinary ideas

✔️ Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and maximize efficiency

✔️ Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and other hotel departments

✔️ Serve as a hands-on leader, supporting the team during busy service periods

✔️ Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, development, and excellence

As Kitchen Manager, you are more than a manager. You are a hands-on leader who inspires the team, supports daily operations, and helps create memorable dining experiences for every guest. Your leadership, culinary expertise, and organizational skills will contribute directly to the success of our Mondi Caribbean Restaurant.

• You have previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a professional kitchen.

• You are a strong leader who enjoys coaching and developing team members.

• You have excellent organizational and planning skills.

• You are experienced with purchasing, inventory management, and cost control.

• You have solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

• You enjoy working operationally and actively cooking alongside your team.

• You are quality-driven, hands-on, and guest-focused.

• You are flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• You speak English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
