We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our team at The College Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott. The College Hotel is one of the hotspots in Oud-Zuid and is housed in a stylish 19th-century building that opened as a school in 1895. Each space in the hotel has its own unique history and character, making dining and staying here a special experience.

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes that reflect our hotel’s boutique and creative concept. You will work closely with your team to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of every dish, while supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff.

What does the job include?

Are you a passionate cook with experience in a professional kitchen and a love for creating high-quality dishes? Then this is your opportunity to join the team at The College Hotel and our restaurant The Dean, where culinary excellence and training go hand in hand.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing dishes to our high standards and ensuring consistency and presentation in every plate. You will support and guide junior kitchen staff and trainees, helping them develop their skills and maintain quality.

You actively contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen, find solutions to challenges that arise, and coordinate with other departments when needed. Together with your team, you are responsible for delivering a memorable culinary experience to our guests.

In addition, you monitor hygiene standards, manage stock, and ensure that orders are processed efficiently, keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

Job requirements

  • You are passionate about cooking and have an eye for quality and presentation;

  • You prepare dishes to high standards and ensure everything is served perfectly;

  • You support and guide junior kitchen staff and trainees;

  • You contribute ideas and come up with creative solutions in the kitchen;

  • You work accurately, independently, and maintain an overview in a busy environment;

  • You are flexible and available to work evenings and weekends;

  • You are willing to assist in other kitchen areas when needed;

  • You take the time to coach and help develop your team;

  • You have experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with knowledge of classical cooking techniques;

  • Available for a full-time position (5 days per week);

  • You are proficient in Dutch and English.
